About Engineering For Kids

A Child Education Franchise Backed by a Decade of Experience

From the mind of educator Dori Roberts Stewart, Engineering For Kids is an engineering enrichment program for Pre-K through 8th grade youth. We have developed unique, exciting programs that invite children to have fun while using their knowledge of engineering and science to design, create, and improve solutions to engineering problems.

Consisting of after-school programs, evening classes, field trips, camps, workshops, and even birthday parties, Engineering For Kids helps to emphasize the importance of learning engineering concepts at a young age. Our kids’ education franchise focuses on engineering while also touching on science, technology, math, and even coding, setting children up for a prosperous future.

If our franchise seems like a great fit, check out the Available Territories page to see if there is an opportunity available near you!

Our Mission & Values

Our mission is to provide children with fun and educational engineering programs that inspire them to pursue engineering careers, use their imagination, collaborate with their peers, and innovate – and all while having fun. Our programs engage students in hands-on, real work engineer

We adhere to our very own “Kelvin Way” of values:

  • K – Fostering a culture of kindness
  • E – Creating excitement for our programs
  • L – Loving what we do
  • V – Valuing our customers
  • I – Inspiring our students
  • N – Never forgetting to have fun

Kelvin is our mascot who can accomplish everything he sets his mind to and is a fun character we use to inspire children to explore and learn more about the world around them.

How It All Began

Dori Roberts Stewart taught engineering to high school students for 11 years and has an extensive math and technology education background. Throughout her career, she noticed there was a dire need for more focus on math, science, and engineering. This is when she had the idea to create a program that would fill this void. She started an after-school program that offered various engineering and science-based competitions.

That program grew into what is now Engineering For Kids, which offers youth ages 4 to 14 a suite of programs that introduce them to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a variety of classes and workshops that help to develop problem-solving techniques.
